A Sunny Afternoon With Whimbrels

To me, this painting is the beach as it should be; inviting for bare feet in the gentle surf, and far from worldly cares. The sky blue water on the wet sand reflects warm yellows and browns from the birds. The surf is a cool misty white in contrast.
