Caught Looking

A Spotted Towhee hops forward with wings flared and tail thrown high, catching the viewer in a direct, wide-eyed stare. Its black hood and back give way to rufous flanks and black-and-white spotted wings, the whole bird caught in a split second of motion rather than its usual scratching-in-the-leaves pose. Shipped in an 11” x 14” archival mat ready for framing.
