Two Bobcats Watching

This Bobcat, painted twice from two different photos, showed up on Emil’s deck one morning and paid close attention to him and the camera for quite a while before padding amiably off. Emil used a liner brush to build up the dense, finely streaked fur in warm rust and gray tones, and to paint the sharp black markings framing each cat's eyes and the long white whiskers bristling forward.
