Two Godwits at night

These two glowing marbled godwits are painted at the edge of the surf on a soft late evening on a Santa Barbara beach, shares artist Emil Morhardt. To me, they epitomize avian contentment, and looking at them gives me a welcome feeling of well-being and an enhanced sense of oneness with the natural world.
