Emil Morhardt is a Santa Barbara artist who expresses his passions for both painting and birds through his portfolio of lifelike acrylic and watercolor paintings. He focuses on capturing the individual personality of each bird by portraying the subjects with a high level of detail and reducing the background. He bases his paintings on photographs that he takes of birds where they live. Through his work, Emil hopes to capture the freedom, inquisitiveness, and social interactions that birds show in the natural world.
