Cosmic Crow
An idealized version of an American Crow painted against a background inspired by photos from the Hubbel Space Telescope. Its wing and tail feathers blaze with warm orange, gold, and lavender tones rendered in fine brushed linework, as though the bird carries its own inner light through the night. Scattered stars of varying sizes, some rendered as sharp compass points, drift across the sky, while low rust-colored hills anchor the bottom of the composition. The effect transforms a familiar backyard bird into something otherworldly and luminous.

Delighted Collector –
Emil Morhardt’s Cosmic Crow
This creature of Earth has discovered it belongs to the entire universe. There’s something ancient, wild, powerful, and utterly free and magical about it. This Crow is going somewhere. There is intention in its movement, an understanding that the universe is something to explore and participate in. Emil has somehow captured both the physical and the infinite in a single image. The crow knows something. And every time I look at this painting, I feel as though I know it too. Thank you Emil,
A delighted collector.
