Floating Reflection

A male American Wigeon floats on pale blue water, its cream-striped crown and iridescent green eye patch catching the light against warm chestnut flanks and a bold black-and-white tail pattern. A clean, nearly complete reflection doubles the bird below, echoing its striking color pattern in softer, cooler tones. Brushed linework builds the fine vermiculated pattern across the flank and the crisp black-and-white tail, while glazing technique renders the calm water and its warm-toned reflection. Shipped in a 16” x 20” archival mat ready for framing.
