Whimbrel #11 Speaking Out

This whimbrel was trying to tell me something as he was leaving. Whimbrels don't talk a lot, so this image is amusingly unusual. He's painted in browns and grays (and a little red) on a white background with a lot of feather detail. There's also a reflection from the wet sand, and a bluish-gray shadow. Painted on deckled edge paper so can either be floated or matted behind glass.
