Yikes!

Max the Great Horned Owl looks shocked here, both brilliant yellow eyes wide and unblinking beneath a crown of black-flecked feathers. Brushed linework sharpens every fine barb around his eyes, while warm amber glazes wash across his ear tufts and chest — an unflinching portrait that meets the viewer's gaze head-on.
