These are all acrylic on 1.5″ canvas, all unframed except that I made a custom frame for the picture above the little table after it was sold. I think they are quite nice either way.
I painted them all in 2019, some as recently as last week, so they are highly representative of my current output
UGallery is a 10-year-old curated online art gallery and, I hope, a good place to sell.
*Because the Gallery Owner, Sherry Spear, was flooded out in the Montecito flood, the gallery is mostly open by appointment in the near term. Aim Morhardt can let you in and make sales. Call or text him at (909) 451-3939.
Got into the Artwalk indoor juried show again this year, and sold this whimbrel taking off!
This one’s using a technique new to me: painting with fluid acrylics diluted to watercolor consistency (very watery) on a clay-coated panel known as Aquaboard. Once coated with matt acrylic varnish you get a durable non-reflective surface that doesn’t need to be glassed. I’ll be trying same technique in the smoother-finished Clayboard, and on a primed wood panel also manufactured by Ampersand.
It will be hanging in Gallery 113 in downtown Santa Barbara through May.
