A Sanderling leans forward to grab something edible. The low, forward-leaning posture captures the birds' constant, businesslike foraging rhythm at the water's edge. Brushed linework builds the fine mottled pattern across the back and the sharply defined bill, while glazing technique renders the shallow water as a warm, glassy plane that reflects the bird without obscuring the sand beneath. Centered on 11" x 14" paper and shipped in a free 11" x 14" mat, but can be trimmed to the 8" x 10" image.
